Has anyone ever used the Hagen Marina Slim S20 Power Filter before? It came with my new fish tank. I am doing a fishless cycle, using some of my media from my Biorb 30l which currently houses my Betta- DJ. I have read alot of good things about this filter. Some of the things I like about it is: You can adjust the flow so that my betta is happy, the fact that you can use their filters or your own filter media just so long as it fits in, It also comes with a sponge over the filter intake which is great: an extra spot for beneficial bacteria to grow, and helps prevent little fish or longer fins from getting sucked in.

Just wondering if any of you guys have used it before and what do you think?

Thanks :)

PS: Sorry I didn't find this section of the forum and wasn't sure where to post, thanks for moving it.

I have the s15 version and it annoys my so much every time I clean it out move it accidentaly it starts buzzing loudly and takes me a while to get it to withstandable levels but I still wanna throw it out the window.

I've moved it only a little to put the hood back onto the tank and so far there's no buzzing or loud noises. I did read somewhere today that there are a fauly batch of them kicking around because of the motor inside. I hope I'm a lucky one who doesn't come across a noisy one as our tank is in our bedroom. :)
