I brought 18 Cichlids 3 weeks ago.
When i brought them i was told they where Albino Marbled Convict Cichlids.

They are about 5 - 6 weeks old and are still very small.

I will be lookng to sell some of them and would like to breed them also.

At the moment they are in a 2ft tank, and when they are fully grown, how many of them could i keep in this tank, and do i need to pair them like 1 male one female or 1 male and 2 femals.

This is my first go with Cichlids

Wow, they really are small.
A 2ft tank will house a pair of convicts (just depending on other dimensions), thats 1 male and 1 femaile thats breeding (not just any 2 fish), expect plenty of offspring.

You say you are planning on selling the young, have you got a buyer lined up? As not many people would be willing to buy a very common, very aggressive fish.

I have rang 2 of my local petshop's and they said that once they are fully grown they will buy them or exchange, i know of 2 friends that will have some.

The problem i have here then is, if i'm correct i cant have all 18 together when fully grown.

How many can i keep together.

I know nothing about this type of fish, should have researched.

The tank i have is a Tetra 60ltr

You might be able to have a pair (1m/1fm), but its going to be tight as 2ft isnt alot of room.
