This is very cheeky, but I have the beginnings of a BGA outbreak in my tank at the mo and was just wondering if I could buy some Marayn off someone in the UK? It just seems daft to order 100 tablets from the US thats all. If so could you PM me and Ill sort some money out.

EDIT - oh and in case you're wondering, tank stats:

pH - 6.6
NH3 - 0
NO2 - 0
NO3 - 20ppm
PO4 - 2ppm
Kh - 6
Co2 - 45 (yes very much on the high side, but my CO2 cylinder ran out and had to hook up the yeast kit and not sure how to have it to get 300ppm, so thought more would be best fish are fish too. Bet you never thought you'd see a tank thats being over dosed CO2 using a yeast system now did you!)

Just do the blackout method if you fail to find any. Only takes 5 days or so and does not cost you anything.

I would go the Maracyn route myself as I have the problem aswell although I never can find any.

I would go blackout first. It didn't work for me, but it's better than going for antibiotics first off.

I did a blackout for three days & also used the protolon-707 I think it is!? Worked wonders!!

Before taking the Maracyn root -

Remove any BGA
Clean filter
50% water change
Dose 20ppm NO3
Total blackout for 72 hours (CO2 off!)
Remove any dead algae
Clean filter
50% water change
Dose 20ppm NO3
Resume Lighting + CO2

If this fails then dose Maracyn.
