Maracyn Or Maracyn 2?

Hi. I have white skirt tetra that where I circled in this picture the skin is tearing apart. It's pretty bad now. It's been like this for two weeks now. I used Melafix, but that was stupid of me. Should I use Maracyn ll or just Maracyn? Or something else? Thank you alot, any help is appreciated.

Well what exactly do you mean by the skin is tearing apart?? Did something/one bite him? Is it just his slime layer? Or is there red around the area like he would be bleeding?

yes there is red around the area. and i need an answer very very quickly please!!

Well maracyn 2 treats internally and externally. However I am not quite sure what your fish looks like, but maracyn 2 is usually better b/c it treats better and in a wide range of problems. Good Luck i hope he can pull through!!!
