I was wondering if you can keep only male guppies in a tank?Mine seem ok but I want to know for sure.If you can't then how many females per male? Please help.

well i hear some people do ok
but some time males bite each other tails

they all have a mind of there own

if get females 1 male to 3 females

I'm sure the idea on farms is to keep all males as the stress of breeding and compeating is lower.

So no females and the will display but not for breeding.

Idealy though you should have more females to males as the males will compete and even fight for the females.

I can't see any problems with having just males. I keep 9 in an AquaOne 320 and they are all fine together. I've had them for about 6 months now and had no problems with them fin nipping. I keep the tank well planted so they have places to hide if need be.

There's nothing wrong with all males. They like females, but they can live together. The only problem is, they start becoming gay... I know mine used to! So if you don't mind gay guppies, all males is totally okay. They won't die or anything without females.
