Male with a gravid spot?

I have a male platy that clearly has a gravid spot. Ill try to get a pic, but it moves alot, and I am still not good with the pictures.

How is it possible that it has the gravid spot? And Im sure its the spot, not a coloration

Are you sure it's not a female that just has her fin clamped? They can look a lot like males when they do that. A picture would help a lot, though.

the godepin or how ever its spelled, has been in that shape sence I got it a week ago

Okay...gonopodium, if you were wondering, is how it's spelled.

You are 100% sure it's not a marking? Some males have very strange markings that make them look like they are pregnant...or the light reflects off their stomach funny and makes them look pregnant. Could you please try to get a picture?

thats the best pic I could get of him. I know its really blurry, but I think its afraid of the camera. You can see that its kinda darker near the tail end, but it doesnt show up good. Im going to try later, and will hopefully have a good one tomorow
