I noticed today my male sailfin mollie was on the sand, not looking to happy, and I move him with a net, he swam around for a bit and went to hide, he's been hiding all night and I looked in and seen him hiding under a rock and hes "shimmying" so I moved him into a 3 Gallon hospital tank (I know 3G ain't the ideal size for a mollie, but no other options), the only thing is he doesn't have a heater (but room is quite warm and I topped tank off with warm water),no filter or airstone, so no water movement = no oxygen. What alternatives can I do? What i've done for the minute is added some elodea and some leaves that came off my java fern. Is there anything I can do to help the shimmies and/or increase oxygen?

Thanks,
Neal

PS- I don't know water stats on any of the tanks. Inhabitants are in my sig.

Latest things added = 2 baby BN plecos + 2 Pitbull plecos

Yes that's what he was doing, but he wasn't trying to swim. Also, he has stopped now and swimming around the tank, but I still don't think he's right, and how can I increase oxygen without buying an airpump?
Thanks,
Neal

PS-I have 2 filters in my main tank, but only 1 of them has good bacteria, the new one has only been up and running since Saturday night. I don't know what to do.
Thanks,

Neal :good:

Can your filters be turned up and down, what are your water stats.

My new filter can be turned up and down, but my old filter is like very old that I got off my brother a while back that he used to use ages ago. So it's a good 3+ years old, it's a Fluval 2, but not a +. I've heard you can turn up fluvals but never noticed it on my old one. Also, like mentioned in my first post, I don't know my water stats as I don't have a test kit, but it's one of the things I will be getting as a birthday pressie off my dad (even though my bday is today), or if not i'll buy it out of my birthday money.
Thanks,
Neal :good:

PS - The new filter is turned up all the way but i've pointed it to the back of the tank to minimalise current, there is plenty of peaceful spots in my tank, but most of my fish enjoy swimming against the current.

Should be fine then enough aeration by the sounds of it, do a water change with not knowing the results, and read them shmmies links on the link left, good luck.

Sorry, not with it getting tired, put her back in the main tank then, that the best way to go.

Ok, water changes are the way to go, good luck.
