Male Platys

I have 3 platys 2 females a gold twin bar and a painted and 1 male a sunset fire wag, I had a male silver wag but he died of unknown causes, as did the other male silver wag I replaced it with. Could they have died because the other male scared him off? OR am I just thinking strangely?

No, males aren't that aggressive to kill each other. Have you been testing your water for ammonia, nitrite, and pH? Ammonia and nitrite can poison a fish without many visible signs and can kill them quickly if levels rise.
