Male Or Female

Im wondering whether my betta is male or female.

It doesnt seem to be getting any bigger and the fins arent growing...

This is the size when i got him two to three months ago...

By all counts it looks like a boy...

Him today...

As you can see no signifcant changes apart from getting fatter lol. I thought females had short fins?

however if for some reason you have a strange - extremely long finned female look for a white dot near his bottom fin. if there is one its an ovipositor and he - is in fact a she!

but he is male!

and very good looking at that!
