Male Or Female?

We were sold this betta and were told it was a female and we have another one which is def a female in the same tank. However this one's fins seem to be growing whereas the other girl's aren't. Is this def female? It seems to get on ok with the other one, occassionaly it flares up and swims after her but not often...?

Body shape looks female, try the mirror check and then see if it flares and a dark beard shows under the gills, if there is a dark beard and also if there is no white dot on the underside of the stomach then it is virtually certain that it is a male.

Unfortunately your photo is not clear enough to give you a 100% confirmation on the sex.

It looks more like a female than a male to me.
