Male Or Female

hello,

would anyone be able to tell me the sex of my two rams i dnt think thy will breed if one is male and one is female becouse one is a blue ram and the other is a gold ram i dnt mind im jst curious to what sex thy are

There is rumours that the majority of Rams exported from Asia are actually sterilised before export so it may not actually be possible to breed them what ever sex they are. If they were originally bred in your country you may have a chance.

i would say the one on the far right was the male as it has longer pointed fins and its dorsal fin has a few extra long points to it. and the other i think is a female

I can't see a visible ovipositor on either of them so I'll say my guess is both are male.

some breeders in the far east sterilise the fish so that other people cannot breed them and make money and then put them out of business a bit unfair i think becasue they are not exactly easy to breed or look after

i have been keeping rams for ages and have bred then a few times.
i think the golden ram is a male
and the blue ram is female
