ok he sits at the bottom and then swims to top then goes back don the bottom and stay still. he seems to have use his tail more tan ever to get goin and his front fins seem to be working but defo not his back one

Try Aquarium salt. Also, Nitrite's are very deadly at any level, you will need to do a water change now, or risk losing all your fish. Did you cycle?

tank was cyceld wen i got it. got the nitrite and nitrate mixed up nitrate 10 ppm and nitrite 0. i dont add salt to my tank as some of my fish wont tolerate it

Hi Paudie, the fact that you have a detectable level of nitrite immediately rings alarm bells. Are you cycling at the moment?

If not, this suggests that your filter is not coping with the amount of waste produced by your fish. This is probably the cause of your fish's illness.

It sounds like your molly is more serious, so i would perform a water change now to reduce nitrite to 0.

Let us have an update tomorrow?

BTT :good:

edit: too slow at typing  , just to re-iterate, do a water change asap, but i wouldn't consider adding salt, especially before you diagnose the problem.
