My golden Sailfin Mollie was in seventh heaven when we introduced two female mollies into the tank recently. Poor little guy had obviously been suffering for a while!! However, following all this sexual activity, he has now become very aggressive, particularly towards one of the females (speckled black) and our large, speckled, black female platy. What should we do, if anything? Can we defuse this situation?

If you have some way to isolate him for awhile that could help curb his aggression. Even if its only in breeder trap for a day (I hate those traps but they are good for isolating individuals for short amounts of time). Sometimes just a little while away can give the other fish time to get used to the tank so they can curb his enthusiasm.

Make sure there are decor /plants for that female to run to. Maybe get another female to distract the male just beware fry will be coming shortly. I have a very pushy/horny guppy male and he def' has his favorite and chases her 24/7. But I've added quite a few floating plants near the top that she can run to, plus there's 3 other females that will often swim buy and distract him so my female doesn't get over stressed.
