Male Lyretail Sword And Top Fin Look "melty".

my male lyretail sword is acting perfectly fine.. but the tip of his sword and tip of his top fin look a little "melty". especially the tip of the sword... looks like... if you took a plastic toothpick, and heated the end with a lighter, it would curl slightly. that's what it looks like.. the top fin looks like this too.

anyone ever see this?
 
I have. My fish used to get it when the water quality wasn't so awesome. I've only seen it a couple times though, and both the times the water was a bit off, but that could be a coincidence. I don't have enough data to back anything up. :p Anyway, try checking your water, and doing a water change. It can't hurt.

Edit: I'm an idiot who confuses Swordtails with Mollies. Same advice, I just had to edit my typing. :)
 
I'll keep up with the water changes and see if there's any improvement. One thing is the swordtail sure isn't acting sick at all.
