title says it all -_- ill try get a pic l8er.. basicly its stomoack is alot bigger than i think it should be :/ and the scales around there are alot bigger and sorta sticking out.. help :(
 
hes gettign worse :-( he normally sits at the top of my filter wjhere there is a bit of suction, but now hes sitting there sideways :( and a minute ago he tried to swim and went upside down :/ i dont have a clue, any ideas would be nice , also he isnt eating...
 
Sounds like dropsy. Its when scales start sticking out from disability to release body fluids causing the protruding scales to sooner or later crush his organs. Dropsy is rarely treatable unless caught in the early signs so I think putting your fish to sleep would be the most humane thing to do now.

How do you treat dropsy? Can you do it yourself, or do you need a vet, so to speak, and do you need any supplies?

You cant really treat it. Put Epson Salt in, one tea spoon per 5 gallons, and hope he can recover. Usally when you notice a fish with dropsy it is way to late to save them. The Epson Salt may take some of the swelling down.
