i have a 10 gallon cycled tank with a pair of kribensis. they haven't paired up yet though. ive had them for about a month and the much larger male has picked on the female a bit.

anyway, i did a 100% water change the other day because my plants were all dying and there was all types of plant debris all over. (turns out i have an incandescent light on that tank.

since about that time my male krib has been acting shaky. for the first day he seemed fine. nothing but a little bit of quick breathing which i figured could be from the stress of the water change. he spent a lot of yesterday near the top of the tank. not gasping for air, but i was still a bit concerned. today he looks worse. he's still mobile, and capable of moving where he wants to, but he seems unbalanced. the front half of his body is sometimes higher than the back and his body seems a little turned over.

meanwhile, the female krib is better than ever. she has really colored up since the male has stopped pickin on her.

could this be a swim-bladder thing or something else? should i try peas? when i changed the water i conditioned it and maintained a similar temp. any help will be appreciated.
