Male Krib Courting Blue Acara!

I know the krib is african but..

I have a pair of blue acara, the male is the most laid back fish I have ever known, the female is definately the boss, however tonight the male krib has been getting between the 2 acara, they are always together. The krib is standing on his tail and shaking??? not seen this with him before as normally the female krib would do all the displaying (he is an odd Krib! he kills female Kribs after they have spawned) I am starting to think he is trying to entice the acara to breed with him , doubt its possible.

It's not unusual with fish like kribs, they are breeding machines though they could never produce fry with a fish like a blue acara as they are too far apart genetically.
