I noticed this morning that my male guppies tail is ripped right down the middle. Last week he had a small part bit out (by the looks of it)
I have had him months and have had no bother with him being nipped before.

Anything I can do to help his tail??

p.s i think its my female swordtail that may be doing it as he is always harassing her

Thanks

Keep the water clean so fin rott doesnt occur. If it does do a water change that always helps. It should grow back to normal.. when that happened to one of mine it did. You just need to be super careful and make sure he stays healthy as his tail heals. Keep a very close eye on him!

And of course move him to a different tank so he can heal without being nipped again.

But that's all I know to do, try waiting for others opinions too I'm only a beginnier when it comes to guppies theres more expirenced people around that come on at different times.

either would be fine, i never moved mine out and they healed within a few days, i might be tempted to issolate within the main tank if it gets any worse :good:
