Male Guppy Harrassing Female

Alright, there are four guppies in my 29 gallon tank. There is one male and three females. Only one female looks like she is ready to get pregnant, the other two females are sort of still too small to get pregnant. The male guppy is ready to mate so he keeps harrassing that one female. He is not interested in mating with the other females because they are not ready. What should I do? I'm afraid the female will get harrassed too much and cause stress. Why won't the female let the male inpregnate her? She just keeps running away when the male tries to stick his gonopodium (spelling?) into her.

Thats normal in male guppies he just keeps bugging her...does he go under the females stomach?

Yes he does. I know this is normal but why won't the female let him inpregnate her? Will she eventually allow the male to mate with her?

No wonder. Well, I've been seeing this for two days already, does that mean she will be giving birth around next month of today? I won't be home during that time...that means I won't get to see it O well...I will try and have my sister video tape it so I can watch it when I get home.

who knows..she may have been pregnant when you got her even? and, unfortunately, chances are you will not get to see the birth unless you are really lucky...i haven't been able to catch a single one...then again i don't sit in front of the tank either!

Why does the male clamp it's fins when it is trying to impregnate the female? He also changes color from time to time, especially the top of it. The top of the male turns black, and goes back from time to time. Why?

He changes color..What the..That is a good question im sure sombody more expirenced will answer this soon but i'venever hheard of them changing it's color

most fish are known to change color..many become extremly faint when stressed and their colors become deeper/richer as they become...well...horny
