Male Guppy Annoying Female Swordtail

My main concern is that I'm at the upper limits of my tank's capacity and that would overstock it really.

That was the reason why I only got 4 females as 8 would've made me seriously overstocked - and knowing their breeding habits it was a recipe for disaster. If your worried about stocking maybe just get 2 females for now. It's not ideal but the real world never is!

I rang my local aquatics store and a lovely girl said that they would have the female swordtail, so I took her there and bought two new small gouramis. When I came to pay the girl said that there would be 88p off the cost of the new fish in payment for the female sword tail. I resisted but she insisted. I am so impressed, bit then I'm a bit of a cup half full rather than cup half empty person.

No problem, I'm glad you got a good outcome. Molesting? was that the 'offensive' word you were asked to change? Swear words are forbidden but molesting isn't ... it's just a word lol

Yes, I think I acknowledged that and explained my position. I was really excited about joining this forum - not sure now. Is it about sharing our fish interest or criticising each other over the nuances of the English/US language?? I think there is a UK only forum but I'm not so narrow minded as to go there because of this nonsense. My wife and I loved our visit to New York, Washington and Boston earlier this year and it totally wiped away our pre-conceptions about SOME American people. I want to welcome you and let you know that there was nothing wrong with the word molesting. I don't know what fishyfriend2 is getting excited for. Some people are just alittle off sometimes. My 17 year old nephew has the same problem with the word "rape". My 5 year old nephew knows what the word "molesting" means. Don't worry about it and don't let it put you off. We welcome people from all over the world here.

Now that the female swordtail has gone the male guppy is pestering one of his colleague males. Is the thing to do to send this male back to the shop?
