I have 2 male guppies and 5 females. We only got the 2nd male last weekend so originally our first male (Stretch) had 5 females to himself - lucky boy lol! We have 6 guppy fry in a floating breeder box aswell, they are just about 1cm long maybe slightly bigger but Im terrified to let them out incase I lose them all and they are just so cute!
I thought it was weird but the 2 males did not show any interest in eachother atall, Stretch was more interested in scaring away a neon than the other male! I noticed a tiny little tear in our newest males tail the other day but had seen nothing atall between him and Stretch, then today saw him chasing after Stretch! Stretch has a beautiful big orange tail that looks like flames, it now has a great big tear in the middle
and there is another tear in the yellow males tail!
Will they stop this or just keep on and on! I thought it was normal for males to scare eachother away but I dont want the tails to be ripped to shreds!
