Male Gourami Killing And Eating Neons?

today i lost 2 neons to a male gourami, i rang up my local fish shop and they said he shouldnt go any where near the neons let alone kill and eat them.
anyone else had any problems like this?

Male Gouramis will kill just about anything smaller than them, especially little neons. Get the rest of your neons out or they are toast.
