my male dalmation molly has been acting funny for about 4 months, maybe longer.every once in a while he'll get white spots and i'll treat him for ick and he'll look better but still acts funny.he has 2 females that he has no interest in anymore, and now his spine is bent and he has a lifeless look in his eyes.what should i try?

We really need more information.
Water stats (ammonia/nitrite/nitrate/pH/hardness)
Do you add any salt?
How big is the tank and what else is in it?
A photo of how bent the spine is would help.
Does he eat well? Is he too thin? Have you seen any redness or swelling around the anus or even worms protruding from it?

i don't think water quality is the problem as he is in a 30 gal tank that is well established.his tankmates are listed in my profile and i've had him for almost 2 years.he has been the father to quite a few fry in that time.he does eat well but he is skinny.there is no redness or swelling or worms.he is in with a choc gourami that i have been treating for an eye fungus(thankfully it's cleared up)with formalin.i have internal parasite med but i'm afraid to use it for fear of hurting my other fish.
