Just wanted to clear that up. ;) Maybe considered spam, but yeah, I've seen a few people around here justifying female bettas as females because they have oviposters, but almost all of my males have and they weren't young, but to make this topic worthwhile, post your bubblenests, male or female!

Males don't have ovipostulars but they can sometimes be constipated or have what looks like an ovi (white poo).

Wish I had a pic of my hmpk's bubble nest! Makes his mommy proud!

Young males can have a false ovipositor that is an extension of the anus. I have a pic of a female nest: nest.jpg

Nope, quite sure they all had oviposters. :dunno:

I'll find a picture of lil' Kari's bubblenest soon.

My Raj's first little bubblenest.
He made it under the leaf of a wide leaf sag that was only a temp in his side while we got the 28gal situated with eco-complete. He loved that plant though so I'm hoping I can convince someone *pokes fiance* to get another all for him heh

And Caine's little nest as well. I think he'd make his bigger but the current in the water from the filter and the airstone prevents it. heh

This is my new boy's nest. I think the other boys get jealous, just looked and Obi's is the only one with a nest to talk about. Some of mine Mr Bojangles and Val to name two, think lines of bubbles all along the outside of 2 walls are absolutely fab... :hyper:
