I have a male and female paradise fish.

I know they are male and female as I have been watching them. They keep trying to mate but there are so many other fish in the tank they keep getting disturbed and he aint able to make a bubble nest as i have an internal fluval filter disturbing the water surface.
I don't have a smaller tank so I can't move them anywhere. Is there anything I could do to help them along the way?

Sorry but your chances of geting them to spawn in a community are pretty low, and even if they did find a place that was calm, the eggs would probably be eaten by the tank mate or the filter would destory the bubble nest. The only way to get paradise fish to spawn is to have a seperate breeding tank.

, I must agree with Gourami Lover in a community tank you havent got much hope of succeeding. My male would try on many occastions to build his nest but no matter where i put a plastic lid, so he could build under it would be eventully destroyed by the filter . H e wouldnt get much peace either with the other inmates no matter how much chasing he did, so i agree a separate tank with gentle flow of water should do the trick :hey:.
I would add one thing that my pair of paradise was the best pair of fish that i have owned up to now. Sadly they are no longer with me but i still miss them :rip: MARS AND VENUS
