Hi,

I seem to remember reading on here at some point that if your MTS's head for the water line, then you have a filter problem? I've noticed a few towards the top of the tank but not all of them.

Does this mean I have a problem?

Thanks

Possibly but not always, it depends when you noticed them, if for instance they were there after you turned the lights on when they were in the dark then it's completely normal, they are nocturnal and come out after dark, I occasionally see one or two out during the day too but not all of them, if they are all out on the glass heading to the top then yes there may be a water quality issue, do you have reason to suspect there may be? how old is your tank and how long have you had them? over feeding can cause a population explosion leading you to see more.

Thanks for the reply.

My tank has been running about 6 months and the snails were added about 3 months or so ago. I generally DO notice them when the lights go on in the morning and, like you say I usually do see one or two during the day.

I don't think I've had a population explosion as my Polka Dot Loach seem to enjoy the odd one!!
