How fast do these snails breed?
I have a couple of clown loaches in my 56G which appear to be keeping the platy levels in check, since Clowns are also partial to snails I'm just thinking about how many I would need to ensure that the clowns didn't wipe them out in one swoop
they reproduce like mad... about a year ago we added 6 to one of our sand tanks... they soon reproduced and we now have too many in most of the tanks....
we also have 7 clowns in our 100gal... with sand.... we scoop as many as 100 at a time out of the other tanks and put them in the 100gal... we see 1 or 2 of the larger ones... and lots of shells the next day
they are much like rabbits.. they will reproduce in extensive numbers if there is excess food for them... we're feeding up some plecs in one tank and the number of snails is mad
