Still trying to figure out what is wrong with my female Saulosi. I've heard malawi bloat is a common disease with africans so does any have any tips on prevention and curing it?

Prevention is easy - no stress. This means the right diet, suitable tankmates, clean water, and a reasonable sized tank set up with lots of hiding places.

As a cure the best thing is to use a strong anti-bacterial medication that will oust the problem efficiently, like clout. Meds like these are not easy on the fishes system, and not cheap, so you'll want to set up a hospital tank for treatment.

The signs of bloat are not eating, or eating and spitting it all back out, stringy white poop, or none at all, listlessness, hiding a lot or spending a lot of time at the top of the water. Actually having a bloated belly can occur but not necessarily.
