Malachite Green

I've read the bottle and it says that it's toxic to tetras, loaches and gouramis. Though it seems that it might be my only chance to save my fish from this disease (whatever it might be). I'm on dose two (day 4 of treatment) of Paragon II and it's not working at all.

No one can seem to tell me what it could be and all guesses have failed.

Is there anything like Malachite Green that would possibly work?

Are you treating for ich? I used malachite green (in the form of Quick Cure) in my 28 gal during an ich outbreak and did not lose a single fish. I have gouramis, ropefish, tetras and ghost shrimp just to name a few.

I've given a description and no one could tell me what it was. I can't get a decent picture of it because it won't show up in pictures.

It's not Ich. I know that much.

It's small circles of off white all over the fish. When I say circles I mean perfectly shaped little circles. I suppose it could easily be confused for Ich because when it started it looked like it could have been but it's not as white and it's smaller.
