Hi, I decided to try and make my own frozen fish food and wondered if anyone with a bit more scientific knowledge could advice on whether this is actually doing them any good or a waste of time. From what I can gather it should be.

the food consists of;

---Frozen blood worms
---Prawns
---Cucumber
---Boiled Lettuce

I was also thinking of adding some peas but not sure if it is nessecary? I blend all these together till it makes a green paste and then I freeze it back up until I need to use it. The fish seem to like it and once added to the aquarium breaks down into small pieces which is easy for them to consume. U cant really see the vegetable matter except the paste is green, which is why I'm asking if it is still doing its job. Thx in advance.

Some jelly added will help keep it together I also use beef heart

Thx for ur reply. What kind of jelly? At the moment I just have a big frozen piece of green stuff which I break of a piece anytime it is needed.

Is this good to feed everyday btw? I feed flakes and this once a day each, is that ok?

You buy it from supper market ask for jelly that is used for food not fruit jelly and yes i find it very good for my Discus and angels to make my own food
