Make Your Own Fish Tank?

My husband accidently broke my last tank, he tried to move it when it was full *must have been feeling like he was popeye or something*, turned out it was a lot heavier than he thought and rested the bottom on the end of a table. Next thing I know, there is water, fish and rocks everywhere!

We saved the fish, by a miracle and have most of them today.

He was able to repair the old tank... all he did was get a piece of glass and cut it to size. We then used something here called stik-a-flex to seal the bottom of the tank.

Just recently I came across a silicon that is aquarium glass safe. You may be able to find it at your LFS. Then it is just a matter of pricing the glass.

Remember that you adhere the sides together and sit it on top of the bottom piece, you will need to make some sort of bracket or frame to support the bottom and sides.

Hope that helps as well. :)
