I would agree. I went to St Albans last weekend and will probably be going there this weekend. Its huge with a good variety of fish but when looking round I did notice a few too many floaters in my opinion and it wasn't the kind of floaters you would associate with me having a bath!!!

i go to the morden Hall one, and i think its the best LFS in my area, but as others have said the quality varies massively between each one!

if your that close then try and get over to the one in peterborough which is (imho) one of the best fish shops in the country. :good:

i usually get my fish from woodthorpe hall aquatics but decided to have a look at maidenhead for a change

miss wiggle are you talking about the one in the garden center wyvale if so id have to agree if not wheres the other one in/near peterborough?

yeah it's outside p'boro in crowland or somewhere like that in a garden centre, not sure which one but likley to be wyevale. my parents live near there so can't remember exactly where it is as I don't go regularly but have called in and been very impressed.

then also been equally vexed at my dad buying guppies from P@H and them all dying when he had this on his doorstep!

if your near peterborough you should try waterzoo seem to find there always good but can be a little pricey ever been there

Maidenhead is the best fish shop to go to.

There staff are trained and they have a wide variety of fish which are kept in good conditions.

I use Maidenhead in Blackpool at Burnside Garden centre, one of the newest stores and they recently started doing marines aswell. Really good quality and reasonably priced. Although there are alot of fish stores within 40 mins (time it takes me as it takes 15 mins to get off the moors) it stocks a wider variety and has alot more tanks of fish than aywhere else locally.
They are also extremely helpful such as recently when they lent me polystyrene fish box and gave me bags for swapping over my tank. Also will order anything they don't have in stock for you. Tend to just go there for most things now!!
