magnet cleaners

i was thinking about getting one of these.... but first.......

do they work on curved glass. i have a 46g bow front, so im not sure wehther it will still work for the front glass...

I have a small Mag-Float. No way it would work on a bowfront.

Hmm... I think it actually would work on a bowfront - it has in my experience. I have a very small one though, I got it at Walmart (can't remember what brand it is). However, my 6 gallon is a bowfront and it works just fine. Also, since your tank is large, the bow isn't extreme, so that makes me think even more it would work. Can't hurt to try!

I have a "Jewul Rio 190" with a bow front.
I use a magnetic cleaner for my tank and it works fine.

I think I have a rubbish magnet. It doesn't get the green spotty algae off the glass at all. I have to scrape it off instead.

Hagen makes a small magnet scraper and it has a nice grip surface. It should work on the bowfront - might take a little longer tho

The larger the algae magnet, the more problems you will have with curved glass for obvious reasons. That said, if you use it so the long sides are vertical, even a big one would still work to a certain extent.
