yesterday i brought a jewel rekord 60, set it up everything works , temp at 25 celcius, i am going to use 4 white cloud mountain minnows to start my fish cycling, i dont want to do fishless!, when shall i add them to my tank, they are currently in my baby biorb(coldwater) my lfs said to add them to the tank(cant remember when or after howmany days) and then after 10 days do a water change, keep m feeding down and after 2 weeks go back and take in a water sample, how long before i can add my white clouds??

thankyou

Slight contradiction in terms, you cant use fish in a fishless cycle.

To do a fishless cycle, you need an ammonia source, preferably household ammonia as its the most accurate to use. Read this link http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=113861

If you are going to do a fish in cycle, read thru this link: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=175355

no i dont want to do fishless cyciling i want to add fish slowly over 6 months untill fully stocked

Ah right sorry misread that, then follow the second link from MW which will guide your thru a fish in cycle. You will need a good liquid based test kit and need to keep up regular, sometimes daily water changes until the cycle finishes and then add more stock slowly.

thanks but in thew thread it doesnt state after how many days do i add the first fishies

As your doing a fish in cycle, you can add the fish as soon as the temp is right for them. Then start the testing daily for ammonia, nitrite etc.
