So yeah, I had to go to the lps to return some shrimp, and get some water conditioner, and I just had to look at the bettas.
To my surprise, they had BEAUTIFUL halfmoon bettas! The types you see all over aquabid... in all shapes and sizes and colours. I was amazed and just stared at them for awhile. This place is SuperPet - a canadian pet store chain. They keep their bettas in tiny little cups like the rest of em - but these halfmoons fill up like the entire cup with their finnage, some of them even have to bend it...
I wonder where they heard it was a good idea to put bettas with huge fins in cups that won't even hold their finnage...
Anyway, some of them were really beautiful. They had some opaques, which I really love, and some very healthy beautiful green ones. They were all fairly small, they looked to be maybe 3 months old, beautiful healthy... they must have just gotten them in.
Then I looked at the price and almost died... 85 dollars!!!! Just for a betta!! But oh, they were on sale for 25.
Ohhhh, that's a lot better. And that's one hell of a sale. Who do they think they're fooling? I wanted to complain, but I just admired the bettas and left.
They were all very active, flaring at one another, healthy... I should have bought one.... but I already have 3
I can't afford to buy every beautiful boy I see. They had some VIBRANT
red ones... oh my... it was like browsing through aquabid live...
I'll have to visit more often.
And I wonder if they'll keep doing this and figure out they shouldn't be keeping them in those cups.

Wow. I can get a rosetail for 11. and it should even be more expensive because its not a chain pet store.
25 could get you like a few bettas with shipping including no joke o_o
