Well, it seems one of my angelfish may have a case of lymphocystis.
I've done some reasearch regarding treatment, but I was wondering if anyone else may of had the same problem and success/failure to treat?
I'm not a 100% it's lymphocystis, but it started out as a little white spec that now looks like a head of cauliflower.
Any help wopuld be appreciated

Thanks wilder.
I read that article already.
Seems I'm doomed to destroy the infected fish.
Just to let everyone know, I always check the net before posting a question here.
You just never know if what you find is in date, reliable or even accurate.
Not that everything here is perfect, but I was hoping someone might have had the same problem and had some input into what they did/didnt do.
Im going to throw my angel into a Q tank and let it runs it's course, unless things go terribly wrong...then I'll put the fish down.
Thanks again. :)

Wish I could help more but never had the desease so can't go on personal experience.
Best thing to do is go to tropical chit chat and do a thread there, more members over there, and some members have been through it themselves.
I will do a search on this site to see if I can find an old thread.

Thanks again wilder.
I really cant relocate all my fish.
I have approx 100 fish in my 100 Gallon tank and I cerainly dont have another 100 gallon tank to rehouse them.
I'm not certain it's lymphocystis as the thread you supplied me with states it looks like it's under the scales.
What I have appears to be on the surface of the fish.
It started off as a small white spec, and has since gotten larger and red(dark pink) in color.
The surface of the lump is bumpy, "somewhat" like a cauliflower, but more like what a brain looks like.
Hmmmm?

Oh for sure.
I have a Q tank, and was going to isolate it, but when I read the whole tank would be infected......well, you know what I mean.
I will most definately put it in a Q tank tommorow, and pick up some anti bac med's as well.
What would you suggest med wise?
It's hard to tell with the first 3 pics, but it doesnt look like the 4th one whatsoever.
I'm going to google for more pics and see what I come up wth.

Maracyn one and two, or maracyn plus.
Good luck.
