Lump On Molly!

Help!

One of our mollies has a lump on one of its sides that looks like a hairy ball (sorry about bad explanation) I have noticed that they have been fighting a bit lately, could this just be the equivelent of swelling from a bruise or something more serious???

The lump has actually gone now, it has left a mark on its side but its amazing how it has just disappeared after a water change. it was a skin coloured lump with what looked like white hairs coming off it.... I will keep an eye on it, should i treat them despite it going away??
