I have a stalk of it, (Dracaena sanderiana ) I placed in a nano tank ( 5 gallon canning jar style ) I routed heater cord, and air line down it, to hide them... the tank sits in a south west corner window, and there are several plants ( including algae ) in the tank... the top is going skyward pretty rapidly this is 6-8 months growth...

anyone else have it in their house ( potted or tanked ) for a while??? I think in the wild, it's a tall grass, that goes to around 6 feet???

also has anyone ever had to "top" them for getting too tall???

the tank is on a table ( like 30 inches tall ) and the top of the plant is 18-24 inch's from the ceiling... I expect at some point it'll likely get a flower, or seed head on the top???

AI says a couple things... one place says 5 feet normal maximum height, while another says 10 feet maximum height... I did read up on trimming it. which makes it branch out... which may or may not be good for my situation???

I don't know. With most plants if you trim off the growing top they fill in and get thicker, growing wider than tall. I'm not sure bamboo behaves that way.

Artificial Intelligence doesn’t seem so smart to me . You’re keeping it and it looks good . Univac can go fry an egg .

My daughter has one in her tank that seems to be slowing down at around 6 feet, probably because it's moving into a darker corner near the ceiling. It has no light to reach for.

I'm going to try a couple of them in the fishroom, when it gets warm enough to purchase some safely.

I have a lucky bamboo potted plant that is 6 yrs old. . It grew on a 2 ft tall table to almost the ceiling. I only water it… no ferts..they dont like to be fertilized. I ended up trimming it to a more pleasing shape. Will post a pic when I get home.
