Need to do large water changes now. instead of carrying buckets of water backwards and forwards like we used to do I was gonna use a hose....

I've always treated the tap water before it goes in the tank but with the hose I'm gonna have to do it once its already in there.... Is this gonna be safe for my fish and secondly do i need to adjust the amount of treatment I use?

Thanks in advance :D Doin it this afternoon so gotta know.

I've read the those who use pythons add the dechlorinator to the tank in small doses as the water is filling up.

I would turn off the filter and just dose the conditionner as water is added. Exposing a fish to chlorine for 10 seconds won't harm him.

THanks just about ot give it ago. How about adding the de chloriater b4 the water goes in or will this effect my bacteria levels?

when doing water changes i simply add a few squirts of conditioner to the tank before i turn the hose on and then add another 3 or 4 squirts for every 30 litres or so till the tank is full, i even do this on my tank with the stingrays in and have never had a problem.
