Hello all,
I would like to add floating riccia for my gourami and also driftwood with moss on it and possibly other plants as time goes on (just play-sand substrate), in my 20 gallon high aquarium, without needing to add CO2.
Looking for thoughts on retrofitting my "big box petstore" kit 17W fixture to a 36Watt fixture from the AHSupply folks, vs, swapping for a glass-top and adding, in addition to the 17Watt stock fixture, a Coralife 2 x T5 (normal output) 14 Watt (giving 45 total watts)
I have done enough reading to know that 45 watts from 14 and 17 watt bulbs is a different kind of light than a single 36 Watt light source (might even be less light) - this would allow me to spread the lights out over the aquarium (front to back) and also even have the ability to cut either 14 watts or 17 watts by removing any of the 3 total bulbs.
Please advise...
Thank you!
