I have decided that I am going to put some low light plants in my tank. I don't want plants that require a ton of maintinence because I would like to spend more time with my fish. I just thought that a few live plants would help. So what is considered low lighting?

Are you asking what plants are low light or what light is considered low-lighting? Aaronnorth answered the first question, I'll answer the second. Anywhere between .5-3.00WPG can be considered low-light, with Watt per Gallon (WPG) only serving as a very general guideline, depending on several factors

1. Type of bulb
2. Size of tank
3. Other factors (reflectors, etc)

The caffeine has not kicked in yet for me to go into detail regarding these factors. If I knew the size of your tank and your wattage I could tell you for sure. Generally, stock lighting in tanks is considered low light.
