Love Affair In The Tank.

just thought id add this lil observation.

after adding a pacific sailfin tang(coral) to my tank yesterday my dear lawnmower blenny(spud) has fallen in love hehe.

although the lawnmower blenny is completely content not touching the lil bit of hair algae in the tank which im currently removing, the beautiful sailfin tang since adding yesterday is in aww munching on all the green'y'ness. whilst doing this the blenny jumps up and down and twirls around the sailfin tang having a gay old time and seems absolutely infatuated with the sailfin tang!

i would deffinately recomend these two to new marine aquarists for hardyness and social compatibility .

Actually, the blenny's actions may be territorial in nature... those two fish occupy similar ecological niches. I see the same behaviour from my Lieutenant Tang towards the Regal Tang. No harm done, though.

If the blenny gets too "friendly" expect to see the tang's blades come out. An unlikely situation, but possible.

ooooh #### i cant believe i forgot all tangs have vlades haha. stupid me. im glad i wasnt stuck by it when i was introducing it to the tnak lol that coulda been bad news
