Another panda cory. Yes I know I need to change the gravel. Planning on changing to sand, hopefully next month.

finally one of the female silvertips stood still.

That's all for now, I hope you liked this edition of My Fish Tank. Tune in next time for My Common Pleco.

It'll look great once it's sand.

I'm just tooooo oddballish to make my big tank tetra/cory. My little tank gets that.

I have to take out the UGF though. :grr: What's the best way to do it? Fill up my bathtub and put all the fish in there with the heater until I'm done? Do I put them in bags or let them roam free?

i used a large bowl for my fish when doing it and let them roam free so should be fine in a bath aslong as you dont have hot tub jets in there cos they may get lost lol

I'll just get a big bucket or something because I think the htub would have some soap or something in it.
No other comments on the pics?

wow ya that gravel will look better changed, really sticks out. Cool pics, I like your cories. I like the anarchis, did you just keep cutting and replanting to get it like that?

atm

It took about a month to grow long enough, then I cut off all the sidestems and the parts that were on the surface and replanted them. I might be getting sand when I get fish for the 10g, because there's a home depot next to the fish store :D

All of your fish look great, like your tank. The only thing I would suggest is changing the gravel, like you said you will be doing. Other than that lookin good :good:

I have changed out gravel to sand before when I had an UGF. I put all my fish into a bucket with an air pump running while I was doing the change. The HOB filter that I planned to put on the tank once the UGF was taken out was running on another tank while I was preparing the change, so I wouldn't have problems with the cycling. I then took all the water out and scooped up all the gravel and put them into Ziplock bags and then just added sand and water. Once that is all done, you can put your fish in and the filter on... just be prepared for all of the crap that comes out from under the UGF. It's nasty. I did 2 water changes before taking all the gravel out, just to get all of it out. Good luck! :good:
