Hi,
Treating ich with salt and 86 F heat.
The fish seem better (bar one) but worse when I change water .. and pour in the new water. Maybe the ich live in the gravel and the pouring of the new water is circulating them around and attaching to the fish. They seem to flash more after I add the new water.
Been so busy I haven't had time to gravel clean for 1 week so just the water changes from the top. Hope to gravel clean again on the weekend.
I also have been adding salt but lost track of what I have added.
Are there any signs to look out for if you have used too much salt ?
I have guppies, platties (which seem to be the ones with ich), danios & a couple of cherry barbs. Also guppy fry.
I know I can do a big water change and not put in any salt and then do another .. same thing but with this ich I want to keep the salt in there.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Desley
