Lost Finale (may Be Spoilers)

Well, I'm a bit confused by some of the last episode. I don't read various boards where I'm sure it's rife with speculation.
But that whole scene where Jack has the beard and wants to jump off the bridge etc. I don't quite get.
At first I thought it's some sort of flashback again, but then realised it must be some kind of future scene as Kate was there and talking about they shouldn't have left the island (when they met in the night at the airfield). BUT the bit that confused me most was the bit where the black doctor (in the hospital) said to Jack that they should go and speak in his office. The Jack turned round to say something like "if you think I'm drunk, the go upstairs and see who's the drunkest - my father or I". Which indicated that his farther is there in the hospital. Another thing that indicated his father was still alive, was that the drug prescription was signed by his father.
What's up?
Also: who's funeral was it that no-one turned up to? Not even Kate. And when the funeral director asked if Jack was friend or family, he said "neither". mmmmm
Guess we'll have to wait for the new series

Obviously, with Lost, anything can happen, but my first reaction to this is that Jack is "losing his marbles". His mental state, combined with his drug use, could be causing him to believe that his father is alive. Unless, of course, his dad is alive and is Jacob...
Also, the drug prescription was likely forged by Jack himself as Jack was so desperate to feed his drug addiction.I think the person in the coffin was someone that we have yet to see, but going from the characters we already know, i'll say it could possibly be Ben or Locke.

Well season four has started and its just as good as ever and none of your questions have been answered lol, I dont think even the writers know whats going on lol
Did you watch "friday night with jonathan ross" a few weeks back?, siaed (dont know his real name) anyway he was on there and he said that the producers are trying to get as much money out of it as possible, and that the cast dont even know whats happening
o and btw they are making another 2 series after this one
