Hi,
Zebra Danio dissapeared completely, no body! Have moved rocks and bogwood, no sign. Looked in top of filter, nothing. Is it possible that they can get further down in the filter? I've got a Juwel 125 litre tank with internal filter.

Other option, could it have been eaten? Mostly small fish in tank (see signature), largest fish is a Pearl Gourami and although he was a bit of a bully when he first went in the tank whilst he was establising his territory he has settled down now. I never saw him chase the Zebra Danios as they move so quick. I don't think it could be him.

Any suggestions? Should I take the filter apart and do thorough search?
All water parameters are fine BTW.

:thanks:

hmmmm... im not sure but i have witnessed on occasion that my corries will be spotted nibbling on dead tank mates. never to be completely devoired but that is only because i have always gotten rid of all dead fish fromt eh tank before they could completly finish them off. chances are the zebra is hiding really well or is dead in bottom of filter or perhaps has been bullied to teh pooint of death by your gourami and then has been eaten by your corries. bottom line is. u have a fish missing and is no where to be seen. most likl;ey is dead and i wouldnt worry too much about it. if its dead , its dead. sorry if i seem mean or anything but thats just the way i see it. i feel for you and you fish of course. im sorry for your loss.
community.

P.S. if i were you i would completely pull apart the filter and do a thorugh search for any reamins of the fish. such as bones or scales. etc,,,...

even though it is a relativley small fish if u dont find its remains it will add to ammonia levels. so if u dont find it i would keep an eye on teh ammo levels. and do a water change for good measure.
good luck buddy.
