Lost A Girl Today :(

when i checked in the girls tank this morn all i could see was 5 of them swimming to greet me, after a hunt around the plants i found the 6th dead on the bottom of the tank
she had no visible injuries so i dont think she was attacked, she was just quite bloated & her colour had paled.
they had all been feeding well and had just had their pea day & a fast day, the others gulped their pellets down this morn so i hope it was an isolated case & will not spread to the others.
i have done a water change to try & dilute any bacteria in the tank.

did you do a good clean or the substrate too hun
can you test ammonia , nitrite and nitrate results from tomorrow morning and the next day to make sure you're not having a spike of some sort

I didnt do the substrate but i will do now,
yes i will test from tomorrow and see what the levels are, the others still look ok.

Aww sorry to hear that emma Im always scared incase something similar happens to me. There getting along fine one minute then the next there fighting, mine seem pretty peacful. Sorry
