A couple of weeks ago I noticed one of our Razbora was missing. Despite a careful look around I could not find him..

Then as if by magic he reappeared.

The only explanation I can come up with is that I have a Jewel Trigon 190 tank and it has a largish hole on the side of the filter box. I can only guess he went in there and hid.

Has anybody else had such an experince?

Thanks

Frank

One of my Panda Cory's has dissapeared. Haven't seen him for about a week.

The only explanation seems to be that he diedand got eaten. If that's possible.

I also had a disappearing panda cory.. found him hiding in the base of a plant.
Though the time before that, it'd gone missing and I found it's head about a week later..

I have had fish hide in a filter though. When I was younger I discovered kuhli loaches hiding in my AC mini.. they were perfectly fine, and I have no bloody idea how they got in there..

Yes it does happen fish do go in the filters, keep an eye on him for fungus.

Yeah, my silly fish also swim up the side of the Juwel filter output tube and get stuck in the filter box. Then you try and net them out and they go down the deep bit by the heater....stupid fish. Once you've dismantled the filter and broken a few fingers getting the net down to hook 'em out and you chuck 'em back in the main tank, it's like: Man, you stuck me in the dark hole and didn't feed me for a week, you're a BAD fish mummy.... and you've got 4 gold barbs just giving you attitude :dunno:
