Fish Crazy
right so i had a total disgusting, and smelly, bout of the dreaded BGA. and as a result i lost most of my plants.this is what i had before.
and so after ripping out all of my infested and dead leaves and doing a black out for 4 days. this is what i all i had left.
before this the tank was running 1.5 wpg. no CO2 and trace farts on rare occasion. the plants are Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae (i think), java fern windelov, amazon sword, and anubias nana. I'm now using my trace farts twice a week. CO2 nutrafin system and the DIY mix on this site are going in next week. Eco complete a couple weeks. and more plants with a couple fast growers after that.
but since the severe trim after the weekend. the sword already has fresh growth. there are two plants clumped together and both have fresh growth. you can just make these out in the last picture. the nanas seem to do better closer to the lights too. once i collect the EC ill be starting up a new journal as this tank will basically be starting out from scratch.
thanks for looking and any input would help out alot. oh and please ignore the blurriness of the pictures. I'm still learning how to use my Nikon cool-pix to get nice crisp clean pictures.
