I put a cycled aquaflow 100 internal into the fry tank yesterday,taking precautions to put a stocking over the intake at the bottom,
Anyway this morning i spotted a fry stuck in the flow bar of the filter,on taking it apart i discovered a further 6 fry stuck inside the the bar itself!!
I couldn't understand how they got in there has i had the bottom of the filter safe
Anyway i put the filter back into the tank and only a few mins later spotted a fry stuck head first in the adjuster near the top of the filter!!,i managed to get it out but this poor soul died a few hours later,there's a small slot where you slide a lever to adjust the flow,these daft fry must've swam in through the hole,hence got mangled up in the propeller and spat out via the flowbar!
Poor fry,i now have a stocking right upto the top of the filter to stop it happening again.
